The first workshop of the Adige River Basin Case Study was organized by Eurac Research and CMCC and was held online on the 4th of May 2022.
The main objectives of the workshop were to introduce the NEXOGENESIS project to the stakeholders and to initiate a group brainstorming on the interconnections, conflicts and policies characteristic of the Nexus in the Adige River Basin Case Study.
Overall, more than 30 stakeholders belonging to different sectors and provinces took part to the workshop. These included for example public authorities (e.g. the Civil Protection and Hydrological offices of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, the Water and Energy and the Environmental Agencies of the Autonomous Province of Trento), as well as sectoral associations (e.g. the association of Trentino fishermen, the confederation of Italian Farmers- Veneto).
The workshop allowed the case study team to explore stakeholders’ interests and expectations related to the NEXOGENESIS project and to pinpoint the main challenges across the Adige River basin. The inputs received from the stakeholders will contribute to the development of project tools and provided the foundations for further collaboration.
