The first Inkomati-Usuthu case study workshop was held on the 24th of May, with around 30 national, regional and local stakeholders participating. The workshop started off with an introduction to the Nexogenesis project, its components and its benefits. This was followed by a successful interactive mapping process whereby the stakeholders were encouraged to present their knowledge and ideas on current challenges in the Inkomati-Usuthu Water Management Area, potential indicators that could be used in the SLNAE, essential policies and agreements to take into consideration when building our policy database, and current projects in the IUWMA. As the stakeholders gave their input on these areas, a mind map was created to visually present the progress made throughout the meeting. Overall, the interactive workshop was a success.
